DMUGA Week 25 - Back in Business! (FMP #12)

Weekly Summary:

A good solid week of work. I made a plan of all the assets left to make, baked/sculpted a few things, organised the courtyard area, populated a little (Will do the temple on Sunday), and I'm feeling slightly better about finishing it now!

Monday - Wednesday:

I spoke to Andy over the phone on Monday as he was coming back from his Easter break and we made a 'game plan' to get things finished.

Bakes not before seen in engine (These are the Lowpoly):

I added a glowstick and made a tileable dirt texture (dirt seen above):

Here's the asset list (Half of which are already started):

Start=

-Tree

-'Pop' Foliage

-Coffin Hatches

-Torch

Courtyard=

-Torch Holder

-FrontDoor (just the actual door)

Tunnel=

-Skulls x2

-Catacomb-type wall x2

Modelled some more tunnel components:

Lastly, I asked Dom to look into doing the sounds for our level now because unfortunately David was unable to due to his new job (congrats dude!). He made some ambience for the outside and a few footstep sounds which is a good start and definitely helps sell the level more. I had a go also and tried to make an ambience for our cave part.

Andy started on the wall sculpt which will be used for most of the modular blocks for the temple.

Thursday - Friday:

I quickly took the bones into Z-brush and added some details to them, then unwrapped them apart from the ribs (They would spin out and cause all sorts of problems so they'll take a while). I did something else important but can't remember what, and lastly on Friday I began sorting through the courtyard but importing the assets you see at the start of this blog, making their base materials, and placing them in the level.

Andy hopes to get the wall done over the weekend along with the torch and crate.
